This is an extraordinary King's Manassa Turquoise sterling silver bolo tie from Navajo / Dine artist, Herbert Tsosie. The piece is signed / hallmarked HT STERLING and shows a old Navajo stamped border with ridged rope silver inner border, above a double leaf / feather adornment with florer at the center and two silver spots, all sterling silver. At the center of the bolo is a large polished cabochon nugget of rare King's Manassa Turquoise with its collectible deep green to light green and unique matrix. The bolo is on a braided black leather strand with sterling bolo tips. The bolo itself measures 2 1/8" by 2" and the bolo strand overall is approx. 22"L from the back of the neck to the ends of both tips (likely 44 along the strand). Total weight of 50.8 grams.
