Included is the historical classic, "Heroes of the Dark Continent and How Stanley Found Emin Pasha" by J.W. Buel, 1890 first edition Historical Publishing Company.
"A complete history of all the great explorations and discoveries in Africa, from the earliest ages to the present time, including a full, authentic and thrilling account of Stanley's famous relief of Emin Pasha."
Buel was a journalist, author, and editor whose name appeared on the title pages of fifty-four works, some of which contained from ten to fifteen volumes. He wrote a lot of adventure tales about the wilds of Africa and the American West in the late 19th century, and is said to have been in jail with the notorious outlaw Cole Younger.
Book is in good condition, gold embossed front cover printing, embossed spine, wear is consistent with normal handling, pages appear intact, foxing noted throughout, otherwise pages are in good condition. Measurements are 10.5"H x 8"W x 1.75"D
