Featured in this lot is this bowl from Santo Domingo artist Thomas Tenorio out of Kewa Pueblo, New Mexico. The bowl shows expert craftsmanship with bird effigies professionally painted along the inside of the bowl with mixings of geometric patterns and floral decoration with coloration is black, red, and a white field. The outside of the bowl is perfectly decorated with geometric patterns. The artist name is written on the bottom of the bowl along with Kewa Pueblo, NM. The condition of this bowl is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this bowl are 3" x 9 5/8" x 9 5/8. Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was both part museum and gallery. Identification#: E1089.
