Featured in this lot is this original cast iron large Herter's Inc. Hudson Bay 41 AX Kodiak Bear Trap Model Perfect dating to the 1960's. This is a rare vintage bear trap in a scarcely seen large size. The piece is a very impressive rare bear trap and is marked on the pan as follows: Hudson Bay - 41 A X - Kodiak Bear Trap - H - Req U.S. Pat Off - Model Perfect - Herter's Inc. This trap is forged and is highly collectable with a forged anchor chain. The condition of this vintage bear trap is well preserved with heavy oxidation to the metal of the trap but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this bear trap is 11 1/8" x 42 1/2" x 17". The collective weight of this bear trap is 40lb 6oz.
