Featured in this lot is this pottery vessel from Hopi artist Nampeyo circa 1910 - 1915. The pottery vessel beautifully crafted and constructed from ceramic material with and is decorated with polychromal paint including geometric shapes with red and black coloration on an of white field. The decoration includes bear paws along the sides of the pottery vessel. The condition of this pot is good with no obvious signs of damage but shows aging wear consistent with the age of the pot. The measurements of this pot are 4" x 8" x 8". Provenance: From the renowned Sundog Fine Art Bozeman, Montana collection and collected by Bruce VanLandingham. Bruce VanLandingham was a pillar in the American Indian collecting community and a respected expert. Along with being an avid collector, Bruce also was the sole owner of Sundog Fine Art Gallery in Bozeman, which was both part museum and gallery. Truly an outstanding example.
