The olla features a wonderfully and professionally crafted ceramic construction that shows a light brown slip field with black and red coloration that shows geometric patterns in tradition Hopi design and is marked on the bottom of the vessel as follows: Ramona Ami - Polacca, AZ. Ramona Ami is a well-known Hopi-Tewa potter, celebrated for her contributions to traditional Hopi pottery. She is part of a distinguished lineage of Hopi-Tewa potters, carrying forward the rich tradition of pottery-making that is integral to the cultural heritage of the Hopi people. The Hopi-Tewa are a group of Tewa-speaking people who have lived among the Hopi since the late 17th century. The condition of this Hopi Tewa pottery vessel is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this pottery vessel is 2 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".
