The bottom of the olla is marked as follows: Violet Huma. Violet Huma is a recognized potter from the Hopi tribe, known for her contributions to traditional Hopi pottery. The Hopi are famous for their pottery, which is characterized by intricate designs, natural pigments, and hand-coiling techniques passed down through generations.
