For your consideration is this Scarce Signed First Edition of "Terpning Tribute to the Plains People", by Harley Brown 2012, publisher The Greenwich Workshop Press, the dated hand-signed signatures of Howard Terpning and author Harley Brown are on half-title page. This is a comprehensive art book and exhibition catalog celebrating the career of Howard Terpning, often called the "storyteller of the Native American". Contains over 120 full-color paintings spanning 35 years of Terpning’s career, focusing on the culture of the Plains Indians from the late 18th century to the buffalo-hunting era. Written by fellow Western artist Harley Brown, it provides professional insights into Terpning’s palette, composition, and technical process. Harley Brown (born 1939) is a renowned Canadian artist, author, and art educator best known for his vivid pastel and oil portraits of Native Americans and Western figures. The beige cloth stamped folio is in very nice condition, illustrated paper dust jacket is protected by clear mylar jacket. Intact pages are clean. Measurement 12.25"W x 14.25"L x 1"D, weight is 4lb, 14oz.
