Included in this lot we have a limited edition Howard Terpning titled "Pride of the Cheyenne". Howard Terpning is one of the most desired and notable Western artist of the 21st century and is known for is impressive depictions of the Native American Indian culture. Terpning is also a member of the Cowboy Artist of America and has won 60 awards in his field. The painting depicts a Native American woman of the Cheyenne tribe holding a papoose in her arms. The mother is shown in simple tasseled clothes with striking noble features on her face. The papoose is resting in a white cradleboard with red and green geometric designs. The print is signed in the bottom right hand corner "Terpning 1988" and signed "Terpning 831/1250" on the right. The 831/1250 indicates the print is part of a limited edition collection. The piece is set into a wood frame with a white border around the painting. The print comes with documentation on the the original painting and information on the artist. The frame measures 25 3/4" wide by 33 1/4" tall with the art measuring 17" wide by 24 1/4" tall.
