The lot features an original Hudson Bay Co. copper pale with lid dating to the 19th Century. The copper pale or bucket is in good overall condition showing signs of age and use. The pale is circular with two left rings one large to hold the pale and the other much smaller to pull the lid off. The piece shows a dove tail like woven manufacture with inner tin lining, a document style from the Hudson Bay Trading Co. The piece is not signed, which other very similar document examples are also not marked. The measurements of this pale are 9 1/2" x 8". The diameter of the base of the pale is 7 1/4".
