For your consideration is a Hudson Bay red large trade bead necklace dating to the 17th-19th Century. These 1600-1800's beads show a Hudson Bay red color throughout on a white cotton strand. Hudson Bay trade beads is a term used to refer to trade beads originally collected from Europe and traded to North American regions of Native Indian tribes. This outstanding strand shows 18 unusually large, cylindrical size beads with a vibrant red color. These authentic early trade beads display very well, and show some sign of wear due to age. The beads measure approximately 1 1/2" in long, and the necklace is 14" in strung length.
