For your consideration, a Hughes Airwest advertising poster, circa 1980. Hughes Airwest was an airline created in 1970 by eccentric billionaire Howard Hughes when he bought 3 airlines that had merged in 1968. The airline, in operation for about 10 years, had a bright yellow livery with blue lettering and logo. This poster shows a stylized drawing of an Hughes Airwest Jet as a banana and says, "Top Banana in the West" at the bottom. The poster advertises non-stop flights to San Francisco from the Tri-Cities airport in Washington state. The poster in in good condition, it does have some creases in it from storage. Currently it is shrink-wrapped to poster board. Measures 24" x 36".
