Featured in this lot are two original photos of a small Bisbee, Arizona school house and its occupants, taken by Humphries Photo Company in the 1900s. The first photo in this lot shows the students and teachers sat on the front porch posing as a group for the photo. The youngest are sat in front while the teachers are standing in the back. A very old woman is sat in a chair in the middle of the group. The second photo shows the same school, but the focus is on a young boy and girl standing together on a blanket in front of the porch. The two young children are dressed in all white, while three teachers sit on the porch behind them. The bottom right hand corner of the photo is blind stamped reading, "Humphries Photo El Paso, Texas". The first photo shows good condition overall with slight wear present, but no signs of damage. The visible photo measures 7 1/2" L x 9 3/4" W, while the entire piece measures 8 1/8" L x 10 1/2" W. The second photo shows good condition overall with slight wear present but no signs of damage is noted. The visible photo measures 9 5/8" L x 7 1/2" W, while the entire piece measures 13 1/8" L x 10 1/4" W. They have a collective weight of 10 ounces.
