This is a wonderful first edition, special edition, illustrated hard copy of Hunting Big Game in the Wilds of Africa containing Thrilling Adventures of the Famous Roosevelt Expedition by J. Martin Miller from circa 1909. The book includes true tales of searches of Lions, Riniceri, Elephants, Hippopotami, and other Ferocious Beast of the Jungle and Plains including journeys in unknown lands, miraculous escapes, curious customs of savage races and marvelous discoveries in the dark continent. The book shows graphics descriptions of beautiful scenery, fertile valleys, vast forests, mighty rivers and cataracts, inland seas, mines of untold wealth and more. Embellished with a great number of striking pictures. The cover shows gilt gold lettering with an excellent colorful illustration having Teddy Roosevelt, later President of the United States, fighting off each of the aforementioned ferocious beast of the Dark Continent. Measures 9.5" x 7".
