Featured in this lot is this Imperial German light artillery officer's sword circa 1880's. The sword features a wonderfully and professionally crafted steel full tang blade with a steel cross guard and hilt with wrapped leather. The hilt is marked 'A. M. III.1.15'; and the blade is marked at the base '448'; and the sheath is marked '19.RSA.8.61.' The condition of this light artillery sword is good with heavy patina adorning the pommel and cross gaurd and hilt of the sword while showing very minor oxidation to the blade of the sword but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this sword in its sheath is 36 1/2" x 6" x 1 1/4" and the blade length is 29 1/2".
