The lot features an Iroquois Native American Indian trinket or jewelry bag dating to the circa 1910-1920’s. The piece shows a red and white / tan trade clothe construction with brass latch showing a beadwork finish in the typical three-dimensional whimsical style known from the Iroquois. The beadwork shows larger semi-transparent and light blue wound glass early pony beads, chalk white seed beads and Czechoslovakia bugle cut glass beads. The bag opens up to a pillow area and shows a trading post tag. Measures overall when closed 4.25”x3.5”x2”.
