Provided for bidding in this lot is an Iver Johnson Champion, Single-Shot shotgun, chambered for 12 gauge. The shotgun was manufactured between 1940-56. The shotgun has a 30" blue'd barrel, walnut fixtures, and a case hardened receiver. The shotgun is marked in numerous places, reading; "Champion - Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works - Fitchburg. MASS. U.S.A." on the left side of the receiver, "-12 GAUGE FULL CHOKE. BARREL AND LUG FORGED IN ONE" on the top of the barrel, and serial number "CUBB" on the lower tang, and on the inside of the fore-grip. The shotgun shows good mechanical and aesthetic condition overall. The plastic owl butt-pad is absent of cracks, and the blue and case hardened finish show good retention. The butt-stock does show some subtle wear. Mechanically, the shotgun has a solid hammer and trigger, as well as a strong case extractor. The shotgun qualifies as a Curio & Relic Long Gun, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. Serial Number: CUBB.
