Featured in this lot we have a thick barrel percussion cap black powder rifle marked J. Clark and chambered in .49 gauge. The rifle displays a thick 33 1/4" long octagonal barrel, fancy hardwood stock, fixed sights, percussion hammer, dual trigger system, and brass trigger guard and butt plate. The barrel shows a thick construction marked across the top reading "J. Clark" with the front blade having been worn down. The lock plate is stamped with a scroll and floral designs with the scroll marked "R.B.". The rifle shows good condition overall with some wear and damage across the piece due to age and use with a small part of the butt of the stock missing. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
