Featured in this lot we have a signed J. Sharp heavy barrel percussion cap rifle chambered in 50 gauge. The rifle displays a heavy 37 1/2" long octagonal barrel, maple stock, brass trigger guard, double trigger system, brass crescent butt plate, and warm brown patina. This rifle originates from the mid to late 1800's and shows good condition overall. The barrel is marked across the top reading "J. Sharps" with the lock plate marked "Manton". The maple stock displays some light wear from use and a dark paint or tar finish. The rifle shows working triggers with the hammer not locking in the back position. The rifle is in good condition overall with some wear and rust due to age and use. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
