J. Stevens A&T .22 LR Model 40 Single Shot Pistol

Featured in this lot we have a J. Stevens A&T model 40 single shot tip up target pistol chambered in .22 long rifle. The pistol displays 10" round barrel, single action hammer, walnut grips, and break action design. The model 40 was designs as a bicycle gun and comes with a groove on the butt of the grip to attached a stock. The top of the barrel is marked reading "J. STEVENS A. & T. CHICOPEE FALLS MASS. U.S.A.". The frame and trigger guard displays nickel plated finish with the barrel showing blue'd finish. Mechanically the pistol shows proper hammer operation with a smooth break action. The pistol shows good condition overall with some wear due to age and handling with the attachable stock missing. The pistol weighs 1lb 8oz. Serial Number: 37945. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
