Featured in this lot is a J. Stevens Arms Company Model 44, lever action rifle, chambered in .25 Rim Fire. The rifle utilizes a 24" half-octagon barrel, a low-wall lever action, and beautiful walnut fixtures, accenting the blue'd finish. The rifle is marked in numerous spots, reading; "TRADE MARK - STEVENS - REG. U.S. PAT. OFF & FGN" on the right side of the barrel, ".25-R.F." on the left side of the barrel, and serial number "65461" on the lower tang. The rifle shows good condition overall, with an even plum purple patina on the blue'd finish, and nice walnut fixtures. The action is tight, and the bore shows good condition, with strong rifling. This rifle qualifies as a Curio 7 Relic Long Gun, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. Serial Number: 65461.
