Featured in this lot is this seed pottery vessel from Jemez potter Carol Loretto. The pottery vessel features a beautiful red-on-red ceramic design with geometric patterns textured into the face of the outside walls and a floral border decoration to the lip of the seed pot. Carol Loretto is a well-respected Jemez artist. She has been an active potter since 1977. She was taught the art of creating traditional Jemez pottery by her mother, Nanette Loretto. The condition of this seed pot is pristine and in good overall condition, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this seed pot are 5" x 4 3/4" x 4 3/4".
