This is an original Colt Single Action Army Model 1873 revolver serial number 283097 manufactured in 1906 attributed as being used by John Wayne for the filming of "The Cowboys" in 1972. The revolver comes with a signed letter from Micky Osmond stating, "This Relic was found at Williams Creek Colorado where John Wayne filmed the movie "The Cowboys". Where Bruce Durn ha his foot caught in the stirrup at the end of the movie." The piece is a single action army Colt revolver chambered in 45 COLT with a two line Colt address atop the 4.75" round barrel. The frame, trigger guard and butt all have the matching "283097" serial number signifying a manufacture of 1906. The gun is in relic, dug condition, but surprisingly still appears to function. The signed letter is included. A unique piece with provenance. Curio and Relic or Modern firearm requires an FFL or Curio transfer.
