Featured in this lot is this oil painting on board called "Bison in the Mountains" by Jonetta Cates born 1934 and died in 2020 and circa 2008. The painting shows a wonderfully and professionally painted scene of a buffalo or bison grazing in a pasture with a beautiful example of a mountain peak in the background with snow capped peaks. Jonetta Cates was from Shawnee and and was a painter from that area. The condition of this framed painting is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this framed artwork is 21 1/2" x 17 5/8" and the visible art measures 15 1/2" x 11 5/8".
