Featured in this lot we have a JW initialed percussion cap black powder rifle decorated with silver and brass and chambered in .38 gauge. The rifle displays a 38 3/4" long octagonal barrel, dark finished hardwood stock, dual trigger system, brass trigger guard and butt plate, percussion hammer system, and decorated with brass and silver inlay. The lock plate is marked with the initials "JW" with tooled designs across the edges. The stock displays numerous geometric silver and brass inlays with tooled designs. The side of the stock features a brass storage door with etched floral designs with the other side of the stock showing a silver medallion with the etched image of an eagle holding an arrow. The barrel shows a warm brown finish and some light wear. The rifle shows good condition overall with some wear and damage across the stock with the action showing intermittent functionality. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
