Included in this lot is an original screen play of "The Irish Gringo", along with a photo album of actress Karlyn Mae Keith. Karlyn "Kay" Mae Keith (10/29/1980-6/3/2001) was born in Los Angeles, California. By age 3, she was learning to sing and dance in her native LA, where she performed with Shirley Temple and other would-be stars. After she had a prominent role in the 1936 movie, “The Irish Gringo,” her father demanded that she turn down additional Hollywood offers. “He felt that she would grow up too fast,” said her son, Keith Grant. The screen play is an original from "The Irish Gringo", which came out in 1935. The cover of the screen play is marked "Registered #24313 Screen Writers Guild of Authors League of America All Rights Reserved." The photo album depicts a collection of original black and white photographs of Karlyn Mae during her lifetime. Both pieces are in good condition, showing some wear with age. The cover to the screen play is not connected. The screen play measures 11" x 8 1/2" x 1/2" and the photo album measures 13 1/2" x 10 1/4" x 2 1/4".
