Featured in this lot is a hand-knotted, Persian Kazak, wool runner rug, originating from the 1930's. The rug displays a fine, detailed design, bright colors, and a tight weave. Kazak style rugs are similar in design to Heriz rugs, with a colorful and bright coloration. The rugs were traditionally woven by various tribes located near the Caucasus Mountains. This rug displays a geometric boarder and designs across the center. The piece shows a red base with designs in white, blue, blue, green, and yellow. The piece shows a white fringe at each end. The piece is in good condition with little wear and use. The piece measures 31 1/2" wide by 120" long.
