Featured in this lot is a hand-knotted, Persian Kazak, wool runner rug, originating from the 1930's. The rug displays a fine detailed design, bright colors, and a tight weave. Kazak style rugs are similar in design to Heriz rugs, with a colorful and bright coloration. The rugs were traditionally woven by various tribes located near the Caucasus Mountains. This rug displays a geometric border with medallions across the center. The piece shows a burnt orange base with designs in cream, black, pink, yellow, dark blue, light blue, and brown. The piece shows a white fringe at each end. The piece is in good condition and shows little wear and use. The rug measures 32" wide by 99" long.
