Featured in this lot we have a level scope by Keuffel & Esser Co. with leather case originating from the early 1900's. The Keuffel and Esser was founded in 1867 by two German immigrants. The company was the first American company specialized in drafting instruments, supplies, and survey equipment. This piece is a short scope level used in survey equipment. The scope shows brass construction with a section on the side with a bubble level. The piece is marked across the side reading "Keuffel & Esser Co". The scope comes with a leather carry case with a top flap. The case is marked across the front flap reading "Keuffel & Esser Co NY". The piece shows good condition overall with some light wear due to age. The scope measures 5" long by 1 1/4" wide.
