The first book in this collection is a first edition titled, "In The Rockies With Kit Carson" by John T. McIntyre, illustrated by Ralph L. Boyer and A. Edwin Kromer, published by The Penn Publishing Company, in Philadelphia in 1913. This book covers Kit Carson and his time in and through the Rockies, filled with stories of trapping, hunting and battles with Native Americans. The book features black and white illustrations throughout. The book is in good condition with wear to the cover and slight foxing throughout the interior pages. Overall the book shows good condition. It measures 7 1/2" L x 5 1/2" W x 1 1/8" D. The second book in this collection is titled, "Pioneer Life In The West" by John E. Potter & Co 1858. The book features adventures and stories from Daniel Boone, Simon Keaton, Captain Brady, General George R. Clarke, The Whetzels and more from their life and experiences in the West. The book shows good condition with slight wear to the front cover and spine. The interior pages are in good condition. Overall the book shows good condition despite its vintage age.
