Featured in this lot is this Kwakwaka'wakw Haida headdress frontlet, circa 1950's. The headdress features a resin construction with a beautiful arrangement of totems featuring animal figural of a squirrel at the base, a bear shown in the middle, and an Orca shown at the top and decorated with porcupine spines. The Kwakwa_ka_'wakw, also known as the Kwakiutl, are Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast. The condition of this frontlet is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this frontlet are 14 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 4".
