Featured in this lot is this Laton Alton Huffman (American 1854-1931) "Round Up Breaking Camp" collotype from the Miles City Studio's. This collotype is 1/12 from that Miles City Studio and according to the accompanying correspondence has been Identified by co researcher and author of Pony Trails in Wyoming, J.K. Rollinson who knew L.A. Huffman personally and got permission from his daughter to use this photo and many more in his book.The back of the collotype is tagged with a museum or collectors tag that reads as follows: 1396-87 - O'dell; and shows a label that reads as follows: Breaking Camp - Montana 1891. The condition of this L.A. Huffman collotype is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage to the collotype and very little wear to the frame. The measurements of this framed collotype is 10 1/8" x 11 5/8" and the visible collotype is 9" x 10 5/8". The collective weight of this collotype is 1lb. Provenance: From the John Kleinschmidt collection which was on loan to the C.M. Russell Museum from 1987 to 1993 and included in the "The Cowboy West: 100 Years of Photography 1992-1993 exhibit.
