The lot features an Indian hide medicine pouch with dragonfly beadwork from the Lakota Sioux of the Northern Plains. The piece exhibits an Indian tanned hide construction sinew sewn with a dark brown stain dye and artfully adorned with petit glass trade seed beads in a geometric and Dragonfly fetish pattern. The beadwork is in greasy light blue, chalk white and cobalt. There is an Indian hide belt tie at the top and fringes at the bottom, both with the same dark coloring. The front shows a tail flap, a unique design. The bag itself without fringes and ties is about 4 3/8" by 3.25" and with the fringes is about 17"L.
