This is an outstanding and large piece of finely made and polychrome hand painted pottery by master artist Linda Concho of the Acoma Pueblo Native American Indians in New Mexico. This finely made piece consist of a large jar. Linda uses natural pigments and traditional Acoma designs when creating her pieces. The jar shows the amazing craftsmanship she is known for, making her work so highly collectable. The Acoma Pueblo is in New Mexico. Linda uses natural pigments and traditional Acoma designs and tools when creating her pieces. She uses Yucca leaves for a paint brush, the traditional way of painting Acoma pottery. This jar is quite striking in its size. The jar is made of the fine, slate-like clay the pueblo is famous for. The urn was hand painted with black geometric designs. Inside the mouth of the jar is painted red. Linda signed the bottom of this jar in her "crossword" style. The jar is 7 1/4" tall and 25 1/2" around.
