For your consideration is this large and beautiful, Persian Gabbeh wool rug from the mid 20th century. The circulation of Persian Gabbeh rugs from Iran into the Western market is relatively new. These rugs were being woven in Persia in the 1500's but were unheard of until fifty years ago. The rug shows a plush wool construction featuring a main color of deep brown. Blue, yellow and beige / tan images of geometric designs, crop effigies and animal effigies are scattered evenly throughout the entire rug. The rug shows good condition overall with little to no wear present and no signs of damage is noted. The rug measures 118" L x 97" W and weighs S855
