For your consideration is this incredible plate of Dikelokephalina Trilobites from the Early Cambrian Era(521 million years ago) to the Permian Era Mass Extinction (250 million years ago). Trilobites were one of the most successful of the early animals on our planet: over 25,000 species have been described, filling nearly every evolutionary niche. Due in large part to their hard exoskeletons (shells), they left an excellent fossil record. This plate of stone features three, large Dikelokephalina trilobites packed next to each other. They show great detail and are very intact despite their amazingly old age showing the facial structures, genal spines, axial rings and central axis. They show good condition overall with no signs of damage. The plate measures 22 3/4" L x 23 3/4" W, while the largest trilobite measures 13 5/8" L x 11 1/4" W. It weighs 26 pounds.
