For your consideration is this collection of three large Montana Ammonite Prehistoric fossils, including a beautiful Sphenodiscus Ammonite and a Bumpy Douvilleiceras Ammonite. Ammonites were predatory mollusks that resembled a squid with a shell. These creatures had eyes, tentacles, and spiral shells. They lived in the shallow inland sea that covered Eastern Montana and the Dakotas. The fossils are in very good condition. Each of them nicely prepared to remove the hard rock and expose the shell. The largest of the three measures 9.5" in diameter and is 3" thick.
