For your consideration is this late 1900s Navajo Klagetoh / Ganado wool rug. This rug has a high quality very tight weave. Klagetoh is located just south of Ganado. The Klagetoh style was established by Lorenzo Hubbell late in 1800, along with the contrasting Ganado Style. The Klagetoh style generally consists of gray or tan backgrounds highlighted by deep red and have black borders. Design elements usually consist of one or more stepped center diamonds and/ or triangles surrounded by a geometric border. This rug features a black outer border with a thin red line following the border. In the middle of the rug it shows a red background with stepped black, grey and red diamond shapes. The weaving on this blanket is very tight and is in excellent condition. The blanket shows good condition overall and measures 31 1/2" L x 29 1/2" W.
