This lot includes a set of 1964 NRA American Rifleman magazines (10). Collected from January - April, June - August, October - December 1964. These magazines have been protected inside a gilt embossed leather bound binder that reads, "The American Rifleman National Rifle Association of America". The world's oldest and largest firearms authority, American Rifleman features articles, videos and breaking news on the latest guns, gear and ammunition. American Rifleman magazine contains information that can be helpful to hunters, strategic gun owners, and NRA members.
The American Rifleman was previously published as Arms and the Man. It adopted its current name in 1923. The National Rifle Association of America (NRA) was founded in New York state in 1871 as a governing body for the sport of shooting with rifles and pistols. The American NRA was modeled after the National Rifle Association in Great Britain, which had been formed in 1859.
The magazines and gilt embossed leather binder are in overall good condition, some foxing and fraying visible on the pages, binder has scuffing on edges and spine. Measures 12"L x 9"W x 2.5"D
