Featured in this lot is this pre-1974 Leupold Vari-X 3x9 rifle scope. This scope is pre-1974 due to the serial number. Every Leupold scope produced since 1974 will have a letter included in the serial number acting as a date-code. Scopes manufactured prior to 1974 will typically have a five or six-digit serial number without a prefix or suffix. This scope has an adjustable zoom and two knobs to zero the scope in. The end of the scope is stamped reading, "Vari-X 3x9" around the edge, while the side shows gold lettering reading, "Leupold Made in USA 58046". The scope shows good condition overall with some slight wear despite its age and use over the years. No signs of obvious damage is noted. The scope measures 12 1/2" L x 1 7/8" W x 1 7/8" H and weighs 12 ounces.
