Finley, "The Old Chief" or Ra-Wah-Wah, and edited by Reverend D.W. Clark, D.D., Cranston & Curts Publishing, 1890. James Finley was a Methodist clergyman, sent as a missionary to the Native American Wyandot or Wendat people, also known as the Huron, in the new state of Ohio where he remained six years. Retaining the superintendency of this mission for two years, he subsequently continued in the itinerant ministry as pastor and presiding elder until 1845. This book has been acknowledged as an exceptional historical work depicting the Wyandotte Nation and other Ohio Native American peoples and life on the Ohio frontier. The cover is embossed with the publisher's emblem on the spine. Condition of this book is good, with some wear to the spine and corners of the cover and browning to the pages consistent with age.
