Featured in this lot is this 1904 photo of a Montana Elk from the Lordly Monarch of the Western Wilds "A Trip Around the World Through the Stereoscope" Vol. V-VIII, manufactured by the Keystone View Company. The original photo was a stereoscope, but this one has been made into a full sized, framed photo. It shows a large elk standing a top some rocks above the photographer. To the right of the elk are some trees and bushes. The bottom of the photo is marked in pen reading, "12269 - Actual Snapshot of a Wild Elk Montana / 1904". The piece is set in a wood frame with gold colored accents. The visible photo measures 10 3/4" L x 13 3/4" W, while the entire piece measures 12 5/16" L x 15 1/4" W x 1 1/4" D.
