Featured in this lot is this oil painting on board called "A Wyoming Morn-Wilson" by Idaho artist Lori McNee Watson born in 1965 and originally painted in 2006. The painting features a wonderfully and professionally crafted oil on board onstruction that shows a family farm at the base of a hillside with a morning hue to the lighting and fall coloration to the trees associated with the hillside. The artist signature can be seen in the bottom left hand corner. Lori McNee Watson was born in 1965 and is based in Sun Valley, Idaho. She is best known for her mastery of studio landscapes, plein air oil paintings, still lifes, and wildlife imagery, often incorporating birds and butterflies in settings resonant with light and atmosphere. Her artistic journey began in the 1980s and 1990s as a wildlife artist and illustrator, producing work for organizations such as Ducks Unlimited and The Nature Conservancy, along with contributions to duck and trout stamps and illustrated books . Since 2000, she has embraced water-mixable oils (notably Cobra brand), plein-air painting, encaustic wax, and studio still lifes inspired by Dutch Master techniques and Luminist traditions.
