Offered in this lot is a Louis XV French Chevet Table with Tambour Door, circa late 18th Century to early 19th Century. This chevet table is a charming example of the period's fine craftsmanship and elegant design. Crafted primarily from rich walnut wood, the table exudes warmth and sophistication, showcasing the natural beauty of the wood’s grain. The chevet table features classic French design elements, such as the slender cabriole legs, which curve gracefully and give the piece a sense of lightness and movement. Featuring cross-shaped cutouts on its sides, the front of the table includes a single small drawer with a simple brass pull and a storage drawer with rolling tambour shutter door and small brass pull offering convenient storage. Apron and side rails are gently curved, adding to the table's refined silhouette. The combination of the rich walnut wood along with its refined craftsmanship, makes this chevet table a beautiful and functional addition to any interior, reflecting the understated elegance of Louis XV French design. The chevet table is in good overall condition with wear consistent with age and use. Measures 12.75"D x 17.75"W x 30.5"H and weighs 14 pounds.
