Featured in this lot we have a signed M+W percussion cap black powder full stock rifle chambered in .36 Caliber. The rifle was manufactured in America in the mid to late 1800's. The rifle features a heavy 41 3/4" long octagonal barrel, full length hardwood stock, brass trigger guard and butt plate, percussion cap hammer and lock plate, and brass accents. The top of the barrel is marked "M+W" with a border design around the initials. The lock plate shows a floral design with illegible pitted lettering. The hardwood stock displays some light wear from use and a dark paint or tar finish. The rifle shows a good working action and double trigger system. The rifle is in good condition overall with some wear, pitting, and rust due to age and use. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
