Featured in this lot we have a Werndl-Holub Model 1867 breechloading rifle chambered in 11.15 mm. The rifle was manufactured in the late 1860's by Austrian manufacturer Werndl-Holub. The rifle displays a 33 1/4" long round barrel, walnut stock, rolling breech action, trigger guard, ram rod, and adjustable rear sight. The top of the barrel is marked "WERNDL ST77" with the lock plate dated "1868". The butt plate is marked across the top reading "26.R. 4.B/ 15. 206.". The walnut stock shows signs of repair and cracks from age and use. The rifle shows a good action with a tight trigger and snappy hammer. The rifle is in fair condition overall with rust and pitting across the metal and some wear and damage across the stock. Serial Number: 85432.
