Available in this lot we have a M1892 Springfield US knife bayonet originating from the early 1900's. The knife was designed to fit the M1903 Springfield rifle. The bayonet shows a steel blade with a steel guard and pommel and a wood grip. The blade displays a primary cutting edge with a fuller running the length of the blade. The ricasso of the blade is marked "US" on one side and "1903" on the other. The grip shows wood siding with a metal attachment point. The bayonet shows very good condition overall with some light wear. The piece comes with a custom leather sheath. The bayonet measures 16 1/4" long overall with the blade measuring 11 5/8" long.
