The lot features a forged Missouri River Tomahawk pattern axe with beaded drop and tacked hardwood handle in the pattern of the Mandan. The drop is wrapped near the head and drops draping over the handle with four ball like old red stroud shapes with Maltese cross beadwowrk in old pony beads. The piece exhibits a forged iron head with old stroud gasket on a hardwood handle wrapped in old red stroud with pony beaded finish showing hide lacing and sinew sewing with bead colors of light padre pony blue and chalk white. The handle is covered in dark patina brass metal trade tacks in banded patterns across the entire piece. The piece display well and appears to have some age to it, exact age unknown. Measures 20.5-inches long by 6--inches wide.
