Featured in this lot is a Markham Air Rifle with .180cal and maple wood. The air rifle is the "Chicago" circa 1887-1910 was interred in the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The air rifle features a wonderfully and professionally crafted maple wood and steel construction that shows a break top design with a spring mechanism that shows a single shot fire rate. The butt stock is marked as follows: Pat. Pending - Markham Air Rifle Co. "Chicago" Plymouth, Mich. The condition of this Markham air rifle is well preserved with some oxidation to the mechanism consistent with the age and shows some slight patina to the wooden stock that makes up the frame of the air rifle but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this air rifle are 32" x 3" x 1 7/8". The collective weight of this air rifle is 1lb 6oz.*
