Featured in this lot is a Markham Air Rifle Co. "New King" single shot BB gun circa 1928 to 1940. The BB gun features a wonderfully and professionally crafted metal and wooden construction that shows the "New King" design with a break top and is a single shot rate of fire. The air rifle is marked as follows: King - Patented Oct 25, PR 28-82, Sept 27, 92 - Jan 28, 96 - Apr 27, 96 - Markham Air Rifle Co. Plymouth, Mich. The Butt stock is marked as follows: Markham Air Rifle Co. - New King Pat. No. 483153 - Plymouth, Mich. U.S.A. The condition of this BB gun is well preserved with some patina adorning the nickel finish receiver and barrel and the wooden butt stock shows some slight wear consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this air rifle are 30 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 1". The collective weight of this air rifle is 1lb 10oz.*
